Hui-shu Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her Ph.D. from Yale University in 1994, following studies at National Taiwan University and professional experience at Taiwan's National Palace Museum. Her research bridges art history, gender studies, and cultural geography with specialization in Chinese imperial patronage and visual culture.
