Dr. Huan Zhang is a Lecturer in International Business at the University of Sydney Business School focusing on global strategy and non-market strategy of multinational enterprises in emerging markets. His research examines how institutional changes influence corporate innovation, CSR, and digital transformation, with particular expertise in China's economic landscape.
Zhang's publications analyze institutional challenges in emerging markets, including corruption impacts, foreign investment patterns, and strategic adaptation during de-globalization. His research received recognition as finalist for the 2022 Alan M. Rugman Young Scholar Award. Current projects investigate green innovation effects on FDI and managerial experience in tax haven investments.
Zhang teaches courses on the Chinese economy, international business practice, and enterprise management in China. He serves on editorial boards for Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Management Organization Review, and Cross-Cultural & Strategic Management. His teaching excellence earned multiple awards including Dean's Citation and USS Teaching Awards.
