Hua Wang is an Associate Professor and Associate Division Head at the Division of Systems Engineering at Boston University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and is affiliated with the Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE). His research focuses on nonlinear control, bifurcation control, robotics, and applications in biomedical, energy, and aerospace systems. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (2001) and was honored as one of the Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders of 2023 for his academic contributions and community service. His work includes advancements in bifurcation analysis, chaotic systems, and control methodologies for complex networks.
Dr. Wang’s research interests span multiple domains, including the control of nonlinear phenomena, robotics path planning, and stability analysis in fractional-order systems. His recent publications highlight innovations in UAV control, gene regulatory networks, and secure communication systems. He has also contributed to interdisciplinary projects, such as pandemic response efforts through the Chinese American Association of Lexington, where he organized PPE donations to Wuhan and Massachusetts during the COVID-19 crisis.
