- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Koc University, 2013
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Koc University, 2019
His research revolves around Robotics, Control Systems, and Haptics, with a focus on designing controllers for Physical Human-Robot Interaction (pHRI). He investigates trade-offs between robust stability and interaction performance, utilizing computational analyses and experimental validations.
Recent publications highlight his work on variable-fractional order admittance controllers (ICRA 2020) and stability/transparency analyses of fractional-order systems (IEEE Transactions on Haptics, 2018). These studies emphasize optimizing controller design for nonlinear environments and reducing human effort during tasks.
Yusuf has co-organized workshops like f İ-R e 2019 at ToRK 2019, where he presented talks on optimal controller design and moderated discussions on pHRI systems. He collaborates with researchers from institutions across Turkey, including Sabanci University and Ozyegin University.
