معرفی
Hrvoje Augustin is a Lecturer in Neuroscience at the Department of Biological Sciences, ROYAL HOLLOWAY AND BEDFORD NEW COLLEGE. His research focuses on synaptic physiology and aging-related diseases using Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism.
Research interests include glutamate receptor function, neuromuscular junction development, and mechanisms underlying age-related synaptic decline. He investigates therapeutic interventions, such as medium-chain fatty acids and plant-based compounds, to counteract neurodegenerative processes. Recent work highlights insulin signaling's role in maintaining neuronal circuit functionality during aging.
