Howie Chen is a New York-based curator and educator affiliated with New York University (Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development) and the Department of Art and Art Professions. As Curator of the 80 Washington Square East Gallery, he directs exhibitions and programs focused on collaborative art production and research. He is a founding director of Chen’s (Brooklyn) and Dispatch, and has held curatorial roles at the Whitney Museum of American Art and MoMA PS1.
