Howard Weiner

Howard J. Weiner, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center, completed internal medicine residency training at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and received fellowship training in gastroenterology at UT Health Science Center in Dallas. Board-certified in gastroenterology, Dr. Weiner joined UT Southwestern faculty in 2020 after 37 years in private practice.

Dr. Weiner's clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive evaluation and management of digestive diseases, with specialized focus on esophageal reflux disorders, gastrointestinal motility abnormalities including achalasia and gastroparesis, and nutritional complications of gastrointestinal disorders. His approach integrates advanced diagnostic techniques with evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
