Hope Jevons is a Lecturer in Children's and Young People's Nursing Practice at the University of Sunderland. Her academic role includes leading the PDN-103 (Practice Placement 1) module and teaching Infection Prevention and Control, Aseptic Non-Touch Technique, and Clinical Trials. She holds a Master's degree from the same institution, which deepened her interest in academia.
Professionally, she is a Registered Children's Nurse with over a decade of clinical experience. Her career began in Paediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant at the Great North Children's Hospital, followed by roles in the Children's Haemodialysis Unit and as a Senior Research Nurse supporting clinical trials at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. She maintains clinical skills through occasional bank nursing duties at the GNCH.
Her research and teaching focus on advancing nursing practice and patient care in pediatric settings. She emphasizes evidence-based practices and aims to inspire future generations of nursing professionals. Her work bridges clinical expertise with academic teaching to foster competent and compassionate healthcare providers.
