Hope Gangata is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter, College of Medicine and Health. He joined Exeter from the University of Birmingham in 2018 and serves as a specialist Anatomy teacher in the Bachelor of Medicine (BMBS) program and Co-Lead for the Anatomical Sciences Module in the BSc Medical Science. He leads dissection laboratory sessions for 1st and 2nd-year students across medical and health science programs.

His research focuses on anatomical education, curriculum design for physiotherapy, and clinical anatomy. He has pioneered the 'Gangata Test' for palmaris longus assessment and explored cadaver sourcing ethics. His work integrates Cognitive Load Theory, spiral curricula, and innovative 3D modeling for remote learning. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and contributes to national curriculum development.
Recent publications highlight his commitment to improving anatomical education through pedagogical frameworks, Delphi-based syllabi, and ethical cadaver practices.
