Hongyi Jiang

Dr. Hongyi Jiang is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia's School of Earth and Oceans. He holds a PhD (2017) and has held roles including Research Fellow (2019–2021) and Research Associate (2017–2019). His research focuses on fluid mechanics, geomechanics, and offshore engineering, with expertise in bluff-body flows, vortex-induced vibration, and flow-structure interaction. He leads projects funded by the Australian Research Council and has published extensively in top journals like Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Physics of Fluids. Dr. Jiang contributes to sustainable development goals through innovations in subsea pipeline design and safer offshore operations.
