Dr Chaoyang Jiang is a Lecturer at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of New South Wales, and a member of the Flow Noise Group. His research focuses on flow-induced noise control and aeroacoustics, particularly for UAVs, aircraft, and wind turbines in populated areas. He applies advanced measurement techniques to study turbulent flows and surface pressure fluctuations.
Research Interests:
- Flow dynamics and noise generation in airfoils and bluff bodies
- Acoustic control of airfoils and rotors
- Turbulent boundary layer surface pressure fluctuations
- Wind turbine noise mitigation
- Experimental fluid dynamics
