Prof. Hongyan Qu is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at Middlesex University's Faculty of Business and Law, Department of Strategy, Leadership & Operations. Previously, she held roles as Associate Professor (2018–2020) and Assistant Professor (2014–2018) at Central University of Finance and Economics, China. Her research focuses on strategic management, international business, corporate governance, and institutional contexts. She has published in top journals like International Business Review and Journal of Environmental Management. Key research themes include CEO succession dynamics, firm internationalization drivers, and environmental sustainability policies in emerging markets. She actively presents at conferences such as the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business.
