Hongsock Lee is a Teaching Professor at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2011, specializing in metals and jewelry design. Previously taught at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) as an instructor for elective and senior classes (2003–2006). Holds an M.F.A. from RISD and B.F.A. from Kongkuk University. His professional career includes jewelry design roles at Robert Corio Design (2004–2005) and C&J Jewelry Co. (2003–2004).
Research interests focus on the intersection of jewelry design with sculpture, public art installations, and contemporary craft practices. Notable works include the Bridge Art Installation (2018) and To Reach, Complementary Geometry (2015). Active in exhibitions globally, including solo shows at Hyart Gallery (2010) and Arcade Gallery (2003).
Award-winning artist with over 17 honors including Telfair Museum Art Fair awards (2015–2016), Bellevue Museum Art Fair recognition (2007), and multiple selections in international craft exhibitions. Featured in Metropolis Magazine, Art Jewelry Magazine, and American Craft Magazine. Holds a residency at McColl Center for Visual Art (2008) and a RISD fellowship (2001–2003).
Public sculptures and installations include Fishes in the South Garden (Shenzhen, 2018) and To Reach series. Maintains active exhibition participation in SOFA Chicago, Fuller Craft Museum, and international galleries. Engages in cross-cultural art dialogues through works blending Korean artistic heritage with modern design principles.
