Dr. Hong Ma is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. He serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Economics and thesis advisor at Schwarzman College, while also holding editorial roles as Associate Editor for Journal of Comparative Economics and China Economic Review.

He received the National Outstanding Youth Fund (International Trade) and was selected as Changjiang Scholars Program Young Scholar in 2017.
