Holly Janz serves as Professor of Voice, Diction, and Pedagogy at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she combines academic instruction with an active international performance career as a lyric mezzo-soprano. Her voice is celebrated for clarity, richness, and warmth across leading opera companies including Lyric Opera of the North, Winter Opera Saint Louis, and Fargo-Moorhead Opera.
She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, a Master of Music from the University of Colorado, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Kansas. Her educational journey reflects deep specialization in vocal artistry and performance.
Her professional focus centers on Opera Performance, Vocal Pedagogy, and Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM), with recent training at Shenandoah Conservatory's CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute.
