Holiday Powers is an Assistant Professor of Art History at VCUarts Qatar, specializing in modern and contemporary Arab art with a focus on postcolonial and feminist theory. She holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University (2015) and has conducted extensive research on Moroccan modernism, particularly the Casablanca School, and maternal imagery in global contemporary art. Her work bridges local and transnational discourses in the Arab world.
