Hiroshi Yoshioka

Hiroshi Yoshioka, MD is a Professor in Residence in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He serves as Chief of the Musculoskeletal Section and Director of the Fellowship Program within the department. Dr. Yoshioka specializes in musculoskeletal radiology with a particular focus on advanced imaging techniques for the wrist and cartilage assessment.

Dr. Yoshioka's research interests center on musculoskeletal imaging, particularly cartilage imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and wrist imaging. His work explores advanced MRI techniques including high-resolution 3T imaging of the triangular fibrocartilage complex and innovative approaches to wrist assessment. He has contributed significantly to the development of imaging protocols for cartilage evaluation and has explored the application of deep learning in radiology reporting and diagnosis.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on lumbar spine MRI analysis using deep learning, advanced wrist imaging techniques, and quantitative assessment of cartilage.
