Joseph E. Burns

Dr. Joseph E. Burns, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He specializes in clinical radiology with a focus on musculoskeletal imaging and the application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging.

Dr. Burns received his medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Canada (2000) and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He furthered his expertise through fellowships in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Iowa and in Imaging Sciences at the National Institutes of Health.
