Hippolite Amadi is a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London's Department of Bioengineering within the Faculty of Engineering. He also serves as Professor of Medical Technology at Imo State University, Nigeria, and holds a Honorary Research Fellowship at Imperial College. As Principal Consultant and CEO of Neonatal Concerns for Africa, he focuses on frugal medical technologies for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). His research spans biomedical engineering, clinical sciences, and neonatal care innovations.

Research Interests: Dr. Amadi is renowned for pioneering neonatal care technologies such as the Recycled Incubator Technology (RIT), Politeheart ventilator, and algorithms like HISA to combat neonatal mortality. His work addresses thermal stress, hyperbilirubinemia, and resource constraints in LMICs. Collaborations with WHO and World Bank highlight his global impact.
Awards: Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM).
His innovations, including solar-powered neonatal devices and the Nigerian LNG respiratory system, emphasize low-cost, high-impact solutions. He leads a nationwide research network across Nigeria's geopolitical zones, driving evidence-based interventions and policy advocacy.
