معرفی
Hilde Feys is a Professor at KU Leuven within the Faculty of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences and Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, leading the Research Group for Neurorehabilitation (eNRGy). She holds significant administrative roles including membership on the Council of the Faculty of Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences, the Council of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, and the Educational Quality Assurance Committee.
Her research focuses on pediatric neurorehabilitation with emphasis on cerebral palsy, motor control and learning, upper limb function assessment, and AI applications in rehabilitation. She leads multiple major research projects including 'Neurological factors challenging bimanual motor control and learning in children with unilateral cerebral palsy' (2024-2028) and the European Union-funded 'Clinical validation of Artificial Intelligence for providing a personalized motor clinical profile assessment and rehabilitation of upper limb in children with unilateral Cerebral Palsy' (AInCP, 2022-2027).
Professor Feys' recent publications demonstrate her expertise in understanding motor control, sensory processing, and neurodevelopmental factors in children with cerebral palsy and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Her work employs advanced methodologies including neuroimaging, kinematic analysis, and AI-driven approaches to develop personalized rehabilitation strategies that address both bimanual coordination and somatosensory deficits.
She actively teaches courses related to neurorehabilitation in children, neurological development, pathology in neurological and pediatric conditions, and evidence-based clinical reasoning in pediatric rehabilitation, contributing significantly to the education of future rehabilitation professionals.
