Ya Ching Hung

Ya Ching Hung, Ed.D., P.T., is a Professor and Deputy Chair in the Department of Family, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences at Queens College, CUNY. Her research focuses on motor control and biomechanics in children with movement impairments, particularly those with unilateral spastic cerebral palsy and obesity-related motor difficulties. She holds a doctoral degree in Motor Learning and Control from Columbia University's Teachers College.

Her work employs three-dimensional kinematic analysis to quantify movement impairments and training effects.

She has secured grants from PSC-CUNY and other institutions to study training efficacy in cerebral palsy and obesity-related motor deficits. Dr. Hung teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in biomechanics, motor learning, and kinesiology.
