Hiba Massoud is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff University. She holds a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) and has held multiple academic roles across institutions including Coventry University, University of Minho, and Damascus University. Her research focuses on sustainable development goals, leadership effectiveness, gender equity in academia, transnational education models, and corporate social responsibility. She has conducted impactful studies on organizational learning in developing economies, renewable energy policy in emerging markets, and inclusive talent identification processes.
Massoud has contributed to over 40 research outputs since 2007, with recent work analyzing post-pandemic entrepreneurial intentions and gender barriers in higher education leadership. She serves as an editor for journals like Administrative Sciences and Cogent Education, and has coordinated projects like the ISHTAR LIGHT initiative addressing gender equity in academia. Her professional experience spans auditing, university internationalization consulting, and UNDP advisory roles.
Key achievements include the Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarship (1999), co-editing the 2025 book Leadership and Sustainability: Building a Better Future, and leading editorial boards for multidisciplinary publishing platforms. Her work intersects educational policy, organizational behavior, and sustainable development with practical applications in policy design and institutional reform.
