Hester van Herk is a Full Professor of Cross-Cultural Marketing Research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. She holds a PhD in Marketing and Cross-Cultural Psychology from Tilburg University. Her academic roles include Program Director of the Bachelor of Business Administration (2010-2013) and Acting Department Chair of Marketing (2013-2015) at VU.

- MSc in Psychology with research methodology focus, Leiden University (minors in Social/Organizational Psychology and Mathematics)
