Hesper Rego is an Associate Professor in Microbial Pathogenesis at the Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Boyer Center for Molecular Medicine. She holds a B.S. in Physics from Caltech (2005) and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from UCSF (2011). Her postdoctoral work focused on mycobacterial phenotypic heterogeneity under Eric Rubin at Harvard. Rego's lab integrates advanced microscopy techniques with studies of mycobacterial survival strategies under antibiotic and host stress.
