Herman Stål is an Associate Professor at the Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE), Umeå University, Sweden. He holds a Docent (Associate Professor) qualification and is recognized as a university teacher. His primary affiliation is within the Department of Business Administration and Management.
Stål’s research focuses on sustainability, circular economy, and institutional entrepreneurship. He investigates how businesses and organizations navigate tensions between sustainability goals and existing practices, particularly in sectors like fashion, agriculture, and small/medium enterprises.
