Herbert Sherman

Herbert Sherman is a Professor of Management at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus School of Business. He teaches courses in business strategy, business and society, international business, leadership, entrepreneurship, public administration, social policy, and research methods.

• Education: B.A. from City College of New York, M.S. from Polytechnic University, Ph.D. from Union Institute and University

Research Interests: Focus on strategic management, business ethics, leadership, case research, and higher education administration. His case studies analyze corporate governance, ethical leadership, and industry-specific strategic challenges.

• Publications: Over 50 case studies and 8 books, including analyses of WeWork, DraftKings, and Meta Platforms

Scientific Awards: Recipient of the Graduate Student Choice Award (2014), Beta Sigma Delta induction (2022), and multiple case study and research awards from 2005–2008.

Professional Affiliations: Member of The Allied Academies, Academy of Management, The Case Association, Eastern Academy of Management, and co-founder of the Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management.
