Henry Henniger is an Associate Professor of Trombone at the School of Music and Dance, University of Oregon. He joined the faculty in 2010 after teaching at Oregon State University and Linfield College, and has established a career as both a performer and educator.
- Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Indiana University
- Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music’s Orchestral Performance program
His research and performance interests focus on trombone pedagogy, brass performance, jazz studies, and large ensemble dynamics. As a performer, he serves as principal trombone for the Eugene Symphony, Portland Opera, and Oregon Ballet Theatre, while also collaborating with regional orchestras and chamber groups like the University of Oregon Brass Quintet and Orebonians trombone quartet.
Henniger has recorded with notable labels such as Summit Records, Sun King Productions, and Orange Mountain Music. He has performed solo recitals and masterclasses nationally and internationally, including engagements in China and Italy.
