Henry Bayerle is an Associate Professor of Classics at Oxford College, part of Emory University. He holds a B.A. in Classics from Brown University (1989) and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Harvard University (2004). His research centers on Roman epic poetry and the reception of classical texts in medieval Europe, with a focus on characterization through speeches and intertextual connections in Latin epics.
