Henrik Riisgaard is a Teaching Associate Professor at the Department of Sustainability and Planning within The Technical Faculty of IT and Design at Aalborg University. His research focuses on circular economy, environmental management, and sustainability policy, with an emphasis on stakeholder collaboration, life cycle assessment, and eco-innovation.
Key projects include leading the CLEAN Innovation Board for Waste and Resources and participating in the NBE Network for Sustainable Business Development in Northern Denmark. He has also contributed to initiatives such as Designing Out Waste and EPIC: Employability-Package with Project Work in Center.
Riisgaard’s research explores topics like excess heat utilization in district heating systems, municipal waste management, and smartphone repair practices in Denmark. His work frequently intersects with policy development and stakeholder engagement, particularly in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
