David Andreas Mana-Ay Christensen

David Andreas Mana-Ay Christensen is a Part-time Lecturer at the Department of Sustainability and Planning, The Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Aalborg University. He holds a PhD in sustainability studies awarded in 2019, focusing on partnership frameworks for sustainability in developing countries. His current role involves academic teaching and research in sustainable waste management and circular economy solutions.

His research focuses on optimizing waste systems through stakeholder collaboration, material flow analysis, and policy design. Notable projects include the Zero Waste Co-Lab initiative (2022-2023), the WASTEMAN project (2018-2022), and contributions to sustainable waste management strategies in Bornholm, Denmark, and Kathmandu, Nepal. He also serves as Project Manager at Bornholms Affaldsbehandling since 2019.
