Henrik Bay Hansen

Henrik Bay Hansen serves as a Lecturer in Guitar at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (DKDM) while also teaching at Køge Music School, complementing his academic role with active performance as a member of the avant-garde CRAS Ensemble.

He holds a degree from the Southern Danish Academy of Music (2007), reflecting his foundational training in classical and contemporary guitar disciplines.

His research and professional focus centers on Music Education innovation, particularly Instrumental Pedagogy for guitar, with significant contributions to Adaptive Teaching Methods for disabled learners and group instruction. His work integrates Contemporary Music performance practices with Orchestral Arrangements specifically designed for guitar ensembles, demonstrating a unique synthesis of performance and pedagogy.

Hansen has published two influential books of guitar orchestra compositions and served as conductor for the elite Guitar Ensemble Syd development project.
