Henning Fjørtoft is a Professor of Norwegian Didactics at the Norwegian Centre for Writing Education and Research (The Writing Centre), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on classroom assessment, literacy development, and professional development for educators. He leads the 'Going gradeless' project (2020-2025), funded by the Norwegian Research Council, and chairs the PLAC research group at NTNU. He serves as editor of the Nordic Journal of Education and Practice and sits on editorial boards for multiple journals.
