Hemmo Meir is Full Professor of Philosophy at the University of Haifa, specializing in philosophy of physics and mind. Since 2013, he has held faculty appointments while serving as Vice Provost since 2020. Research examines foundations of quantum mechanics, statistical thermodynamics, and probability in physical theories.
International engagements include:
- Humboldt University visiting scholar (2018-2019)
- Columbia University visiting scholar (2006-2007)
His interdisciplinary work bridges physics, cognitive science, and philosophy through publications on Maxwell's Demon, quantum interpretations, and reductionism.
