Hemant Rustogi is the Dana Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Marketing Department at The University of Tampa's John Sykes College of Business. He holds academic affiliations in both the Marketing and International Business departments. His career spans over three decades with expertise in market research, international marketing, service quality, and international business education. Rustogi has been instrumental in securing $2 million in federal grants for international business education through his research efforts.
Education includes a B.A. from Delhi University (1981), an MBA from Chapman University (1987), and a DBA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (1990). He teaches courses such as International Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Research Methods, and Marketing Management.
Rustogi’s research interests focus on bridging academic theory with practical business challenges, particularly in international markets and experiential education methodologies. His publications span strategic marketing, ethics in business, and cross-cultural brand management. Notable works include studies on global advertising strategies, talent retention systems, and crisis management in energy sectors.
He has received multiple accolades, including repeated Teaching Awards from the Geneva School of Business Administration (GSBA) and the College of Business Award for Teaching Excellence.
