Helge Albers

Helge Albers is an Honorary Professor of Film at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts (HFBK) and Managing Director of Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein since April 2019. With over 25 years in the film industry, he transitioned from roles as a student at the Babelsberg Film Academy to becoming a producer and industry leader. His notable achievements include an Oscar nomination for the short film AVE MARIA (2015) and a Lola Award for the documentary ABOVE AND BELOW (2016).
