Helena Hill is an Associate Professor in the History of Ideas and a Lecturer in Gender Studies at Södertörn University's Department of Culture and Learning. She serves as the subject coordinator for Gender Studies and teaches within Gender Studies and the Preschool Teacher Training Program.
- Current research: Protest/resistance to right-wing movements in the 1980s, focusing on community centers and power dynamics
- Past research: Norm-critical pedagogy, interculturality in education, and revolutionary masculinity in Sweden's 1965-1980 communist movements
Her work explores intersections of gender, class, and political resistance, with particular focus on:
- Historical constructions of masculinity
- Gender equality discourses

- Swedish men's movements
- Right-wing movement resistance
- Intercultural teaching approaches
Notable projects include the VR-funded study on Swedish 68 left movements. She has edited an anthology on interculturality in education and published extensively on gendered power structures.
