Helen Song

Helen Song is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the Institute of Innovation, Science and Sustainability (IISS), Federation University Australia. She coordinates MBA and undergraduate courses and has over 10 years of academic experience. Prior to academia, she worked in manufacturing and global business in China and the U.S. Her research focuses on green marketing, corporate governance in emerging economies, brand management, and cross-cultural education. She holds a PhD in Marketing (Federation University), an MBA in International Business/Finance (University of Akron), and a Grad Cert in Tertiary Education (Ballarat).

Her research explores green corporate behavior, SOE internationalization, and cross-cultural teaching strategies. She has published in journals like Journal of Asian-Pacific Business and Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management, and presented globally. Her PhD examined green governance in emerging markets, leading to participation in a Beijing government project. She is a passionate cross-cultural educator, recognized with teaching awards at both institutional and university levels (2008–2009). Helen also contributes to community organizations, focusing on not-for-profit initiatives.
