Helen Oh-Conklin is a Continuing Studies Instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), specializing in visual arts education. She holds a BFA from Columbia College Chicago (2011) and an MFA from Harrington College of Design (2014). Her studies in painting also include training at the School of Visual Arts, the National Academy of Design, and The Art Students League of New York.
Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Terra Museum of American Art, Butler Institute of American Arts, and Muscarelle Museum of Art. Her publications include Space Threshold and Linea, with features in New American Paintings (#29), Art Scene Chicago 2000, and American Artist magazine. Her art is part of prominent collections, including Columbia University and the Americas Society in Manhattan.
Teaching focuses on observational drawing, anatomy for life drawing, and interdisciplinary studio practices. Courses include Introduction to Drawing, Essential Anatomy for Life Drawing, and Painting and Drawing Intensive.
