Helen Mirfin-Boukouris

Helen Mirfin-Boukouris is a Doctoral Researcher and Research Associate at the Sheffield University Management School, focusing on work and employment studies. She holds a BA (Hons) in Social & Political Studies and an MBA from the University of Sheffield.

Her PhD research examines the plurality of labour practices using a Total Social Organisation of Labour (TSOL) framework, challenging dichotomous market/non-market labour narratives. She has presented at the International Social Innovation Research Conference 2023. Helen has prior experience in the pharmaceutical, computer hardware, civil service, and police sectors, alongside political roles as a Sheffield City Councillor (2004-2017) and Labour party candidate in 2014.
