Helen Marshall

Professor Helen Marshall is a leading academic at the University of Adelaide, serving as Professor in Vaccinology in the Adelaide Medical School and as Senior Medical Practitioner and Medical Director of the Vaccinology and Immunology Research Trials Unit (VIRTU) in the Department of Paediatrics at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She was appointed Clinical Research Director of the Women's and Children's Health Network in 2022.

Professor Marshall has received numerous accolades, such as SA Scientist of the Year (2023), SA Australian of the Year (2022), and SA Woman of the Year (2022). She has published over 230 peer-reviewed papers and leads the only Australian research unit combining medical and social science approaches to vaccine research.
