Dr. Helen Loney is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Worcester's School of Science and the Environment, affiliated with the Geography and Environment department. Her research focuses on ancient technology, industrial archaeology, and ceramic manufacturing. Notable projects include the Matterdale Archaeological Project (Lake District, UK) and the Worcester Porcelain Project, which examines 18th-20th century porcelain production. She has collaborated on the Terralba Punic Period project in Sardinia, investigating Punic ceramics under Prof. Peter van Dommelen.

Her research interests span gender roles in industrial contexts, archaeological landscape analysis, and motor memory in ancient technology.
