- Key projects: SFB 1070 ResourceCultures (2021-2025), Tell el-Burak excavations
His research explores Phoenician/Punic cultural networks, material culture, and ancient Mediterranean interconnections. Recent work focuses on Iron Age ivory trade, ritual masks, divine iconography, and cross-cultural exchanges. He examines how objects like wine presses, ceramics, and votive items reflect socio-economic dynamics and belief systems in antiquity.
Publications analyze artifacts from sites like Tharros (Sardinia), Ebla (Syria), and Selinunte (Sicily), addressing themes of trade routes, religious practices, and technological diffusion. His work bridges archaeology with historical linguistics and epigraphy, offering multidisciplinary insights into ancient societies.
- Awards: Beatriu de Pinós Postdoctoral fellowship (Pompeu Fabra University)
He advises on archaeological methodologies and resource management in collaborative projects. His fieldwork contributions include the analysis of plaster technology at Tell el-Burak and ceramic studies in Sicily.
