Helen Lawton Smith is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Department of Management, Birkbeck Business School, University of London. She directs the Birkbeck Centre for Innovation Management Research (CIMR) and founded the Oxfordshire Economic Observatory. Her work focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation policy, and regional development, with emphasis on minority support and emerging technologies.
