Helen Freedman is a Senior Lecturer at Kingston University within the Department of Adult Nursing and Allied Health, under the School of Nursing, Allied and Public Health. With extensive experience in adult nursing, she has served in prominent NHS trusts such as St. George’s, St. Thomas’, and King’s College Hospital. Additionally, she contributes to global nursing education as a nurse tutor for a non-governmental organization in Zambia, where she remains actively involved in supporting nursing schools.

Her research focuses on innovation in nursing education, particularly through the development of online patient scenarios as part of the Virtual Family project. She also explores respiratory nursing and chronic lung conditions, emphasizing the integration of technology into teaching to enhance academic literacy and clinical training.
Helen leads the Introduction to Adult Nursing module and collaborates internationally in Zambia. She is a champion for digital education tools, aiming to improve learning outcomes for nursing students through blended and technology-driven methods.
