Dr. Helen Fox is a Lecturer in the Department of Science at South East Technological University (SETU) and a researcher at the Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre. She holds a PhD in Material Science from Trinity College Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from University College Cork.
Her research focuses on advanced drug delivery systems, particularly inhalable spray-dried formulations for respiratory infections. Recent work includes developing ternary combinations against Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms in cystic fibrosis and co-amorphous systems using aspartame. She applies Quality by Design principles to optimize particle engineering and inhalation efficiency.
Publications appear in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics and European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her work integrates material science, nanotechnology, and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
