Associate Professor Helen Faddy is affiliated with the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Australia, as an Associate Professor in Biomedical Science and Honours Coordinator at the School of Health. She holds a BSc(Hons) from Queensland and a PhD from the University of Queensland, complemented by a Postgraduate Certificate in Epidemiology from the University of Leeds. Her expertise spans cell and molecular biology, microbiology, epidemiology, and blood transfusion safety, with a focus on global health implications of emerging infectious diseases.
Her research addresses blood transfusion safety in the context of climate change and vector-borne diseases like Ross River virus and dengue.
