Helen Delany

Helen Delany is a part-time Lecturer in Fashion Communication at Middlesex University's School of Design, part of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. She holds a background in Visual Communication from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and Central Saint Martins (CSM). With over two decades of industry experience, she has worked for major firms like Condé Nast, Time Warner, and The Financial Times. Co-founder of the knitwear brand Electronic Sheep, her work evolved into large-scale textile art installations and prints, exhibited internationally. She leads the FSH1005 Fashion Communication & Styling module and focuses on research areas including Textile Art, Public Art, and Community Art Projects.

Her artistic practice integrates knitted textiles into public installations, supported by grants and awards from arts organizations. Recent outputs include a 2023 exhibition of Electronic Sheep tapestries and a 2018 conference presentation on visual representations of Women of Colour.
