Dr Helen Day serves as a Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Creative Writing within the School of Psychology and Humanities, teaching across literature and creative writing subjects with specialized expertise in children's and young adult literature, science fiction, fantasy, and fairy tales.
Her research focuses on literary genres for younger audiences and speculative fiction, operationalized through the Live Literature Project which connects students with employers and community organizations for practical application of creative skills.
