Professor Helen Carr is a Professor of Property Law & Social Justice at the University of Southampton's Southampton Law School. Her research focuses on conflicts in property law, housing inequalities, and socio-legal feminist approaches. She is affiliated with the People, Property, Community research group and the Centre for Women, Equality and Law. Her work addresses issues like rural homelessness, protection from eviction, and social welfare law. She teaches property law and supervises PhD students, including Dean Taylor (PhD Law PT). Current research includes studying housing precarity and small properties in urban contexts. Her publications span socio-legal analyses, housing policy critiques, and queer utopias in housing.
