Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Heinrich Assel is a Full Professor of Systematic Theology at the Faculty of Theology, University of Greifswald, Germany. His academic career spans systematic theology, ethics, philosophy of religion, and medical ethics, with a focus on Christology, comparative theology, and Baltic confessional cultures.
